I happened to know the USB Stickmemory-type computer, m-Stick by Mouse Computer.
This is amazing for its size, price and functions. MS Windows 7 is pre-installed on the computer but I saw somewhere on the net that someone installed Linux on it. Also it has WIFI networks.
I am wondering a parallel computer system could be built with m-Stick computers. It would be funny many m-Stick is connected with some cables and run a cutting-edge MPI software on the system.
Of course it will definitely slow for computing and passing messages, but it would be wonderful experience of parallel computing. Or maybe it would be a useful system for practical applications.
Well, I know brand-new MPI library can run on a single machine imitating parallel system using different processes. But the system is very interesting.
Anyone?
